Standard Furniture was founded in Birmingham, Alabama in 1912. From our original beginning selling out of a peddler’s wagon to our current retail store operations, our basic business plan has not changed in that we are deeply committed to making the furnishing of your home a pleasant and affordable experience. Standard Furniture won the Alabama Retail Association’s Silver Award as one of 13 outstanding Alabama retailers recently recognized as Retailers of the Year.

“Standard Furniture began operation in 1912. Running a family business for four generations is an amazing accomplishment.
